CoCoRaHS Network - Precipitation (2008-present)

CoCoRaHS (Community Collaborative Rain, Hail, and Snow) is a network of individuals and organizations that gather and report information on precipitation events across the US. The University of Kansas Field Station (KUFS) is a participant in this network. KUFS staff members measure precipitation events and report these to the CoCoRaHS network.  A "standard can" gauge located near the Armitage Education Center is the official site for KUFS measurements of precipitation.

Precipitation data for KUFS are available at the CoCoRaHS website. The KUFS site is in extreme southeastern Jefferson County (KS), about 6.8 miles NNE of Lawrence, and is designated as "KS-JF-2."
